Radio

The Crioula FM project follows the modernization of the Crioula Network in all the islands of Cape Verde where it has a transmission license.

The objective was to equip the radio with a central studio capable of responding to the 24 hours of broadcasting, in which 18 are animated live with multiple guests.

For the broadcast studio, the following equipment was chosen:

• AEQ Capitol IP Dante Digital Table
• EltroVoice Re320 microphone
• DBX 286s Pre Amplifier for each microphone
• Yamaha HS7 active monitor
• Shure SHR440 Headphone
• DigitalRM Automation and Software

On the RF side, the radio was completely renovated with a new digital audio processor, STL link, antennas and a new transmitter. All with 10 Kva UPS protection.

This was the chosen equipment:

• Digital Audio Processor with RDS BW DSP-Extra
• OMB 1.5 Ghz link
• BW 2.5 Kw transmitter with redundant source and remote control
• Aldena circular polarization antenna

There are another 4 smaller studios scattered over the islands that transmit the signal to the Creole central via Codec IP Barix.
